Additionally, NMDC has partnered with Apollo University in Chittoor to introduce a โMedical Technology Programโ designed for underprivileged boys and girls. These initiatives reflect NMDC’s commitment to inclusive growth and education in the regions it operates.
Balika Shiksha Yojana โ Empowering Tribal Girls

To qualify, applicants must have a family income not exceeding โน72,000 per annum. The application period for this program will remain open until June 28, 2025, providing ample time for interested candidates to apply.
Medical Technology Program โ A Pathway for Underprivileged Youth
In collaboration with Apollo University, NMDC has also introduced a Medical Technology Program aimed at underprivileged boys and girls from the Dantewada and Bastar districts. This initiative offers fully sponsored Allied Healthcare education, empowering tribal youth with essential professional skills for future employment opportunities.
The program will provide 90 seats, with a reservation of 60% for girls and 40% for boys. Students can choose from specialized B.Sc programs, including Emergency Medical Technology, Medical Lab Technology, Anaesthesiology & Operation Theatre Technician, Imaging Technology, Physician Assistant, and Renal Dialysis Technology. Similar to the Balika Shiksha Yojana, this initiative represents an investment of approximately โน12 to โน15 lakh per student. Applications for the Medical Technology Program will be accepted until June 30, 2025, further enhancing educational prospects for the region’s tribal youth.
NMDC’s Commitment to Community Development
For over six decades, NMDC has played a pivotal role in the development of Chhattisgarh, where it operates two major mining complexes. The launch of these educational initiatives underscores the company’s dedication to fostering growth and improving the quality of life for local communities. By focusing on education and skill development, NMDC aims to create new opportunities for tribal youth, helping them to build a brighter future.
These programs not only address the educational needs of underprivileged communities but also contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the region.
