National Science Centre Celebrates 11th International Day of Yoga 2025

The National Science Centre (NSC) in Delhi recently marked the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) with a series of engaging and educational activities. Celebrated under the theme โYoga for One Earth, One Health,โ the event aimed to highlight the importance of yoga in promoting holistic well-being and environmental sustainability. Participants enjoyed a variety of activities, including yoga sessions, competitions, and informative talks, all designed to deepen their understanding of yoga’s benefits.
Morning Yoga Sessions and Competitions
The celebration kicked off at 7:00 AM with a Yoga Asana Practice Session, where participants engaged in traditional yoga postures led by experienced instructors. Following the yoga practice, an On-the-Spot Painting Competition took place at 9:00 AM. The Valedictory Function featured Prof. (Dr.) Sathya N. Dornala, Medical Superintendent of Swami Vivekananda Ayurvedic Panchakarma Hospital, as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Dr. Dornala emphasized the critical role of yoga in todayโs fast-paced lifestyle. He discussed how yoga can transform physical health, enhance mental well-being, and promote environmental consciousness.
