Yoga Connect 2025: A Hybrid Global Summit on ‘Yoga for One Earth, One

The Ministry of Ayush is set to host โ€˜Yoga Connect,โ€™ a hybrid global summit on June 14, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This event serves as a significant precursor to the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) and aims to unite a diverse group of yoga practitioners, policymakers, health experts, and global influencers from India and around the world. Coordinated by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), the summit will feature over 1,000 in-person attendees alongside virtual participants from prominent international yoga institutions.

Global Participation and Insights

The โ€˜Yoga Connectโ€™ summit will attract experts from more than four countries, including Bahrain, the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. These distinguished figures will contribute their knowledge in yoga, healthcare, research, and wellness, underscoring the global impact of India’s yoga movement. The event aims to foster collaboration and exchange of ideas among participants, enhancing the understanding of yoga’s role in promoting health and wellness worldwide.

A key feature of the summit will be the unveiling of the โ€˜Yoga Prabhavaโ€™ report, a comprehensive study conducted by CCRYN. This report evaluates the impact of IDY over the past decade, offering valuable insights for academicians, researchers, and public health professionals. It will highlight the effectiveness and transformative influence of IDY initiatives across India, marking a significant milestone in the countryโ€™s yoga journey.

Knowledge Products and Thematic Sessions

In addition to the report, โ€˜Yoga Connectโ€™ will introduce three important knowledge products: an e-book titled “Decadal Impact of Yoga,” a report on the scientometric analysis of yoga research, and an illustrative booklet named “Bhartiya Vriksha Vaibhavam,” which emphasizes the significance of native Indian trees. These resources aim to enrich the understanding of yoga’s impact and its integration with environmental consciousness.

The summit will also feature thematic sessions covering various topics, including yoga for the prevention of non-communicable diseases, the Common Yoga Protocol, and the role of yoga in womenโ€™s health across different life stages. Participants will engage in discussions about yoga’s applications in commerce and industry, as well as innovative presentations from yoga-tech innovators. These sessions are designed to foster a comprehensive dialogue on the multifaceted benefits of yoga.

Celebrating a Decade of Global Yoga

โ€˜Yoga Connectโ€™ represents a pivotal moment in celebrating ten years of India’s global yoga movement, which began when the United Nations recognized June 21 as the International Day of Yoga in 2014. The event will feature prominent figures in the yoga community, including Swami Baba Ramdevji and Acharya BalaKrishnaji, among others. This summit not only highlights the importance of yoga in promoting health and balance but also reinforces India’s commitment to sharing its rich heritage with the world. Through initiatives like โ€˜Yoga Connect,โ€™ India continues to advocate for unity and wellness on a global scale.
