The process for creating a custom AI chatbot is designed to be user-friendly and mirrors the existing systems on Instagram and Messenger. Users will find this feature within a newly introduced AI Studio tab, which also includes pre-existing chatbots for users to engage with. Creating Your Custom AI Chatbot
To initiate the creation of a custom AI chatbot, users must first provide a prompt that outlines the chatbot’s intended role and purpose. This description can be detailed, allowing for up to 1,000 characters. Following this, users will select personality traits for their chatbot, with WhatsApp offering suggestions based on the initial description. Users also have the flexibility to add their own traits, ensuring a personalized touch.
Additionally, users will choose the role their chatbot will assume, with options such as helper, mentor, or teacher. After defining these characteristics, users can select an avatar for their chatbot. WhatsApp will suggest an avatar based on the provided information, but users can modify the image or create a new one using text prompts. Once all these steps are completed, the AI Studio will generate a custom chatbot ready for interaction.
Future Availability and Community Sharing
While the current rollout is limited to beta testers, there is speculation about the potential for broader access in the near future. It remains uncertain whether users will have the ability to share their custom AI chatbots with the wider community. However, given that similar features are available on Instagram and Messenger, it is plausible that WhatsApp will offer this option as well.
