Redmi Pad 2 4G Global Variant Set to Launch with 11-Inch Display

Redmi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Pad 2 4G in select global markets, with an official release date yet to be announced. The company has provided a sneak peek into the tablet’s design and color options, hinting at a familiar aesthetic similar to its predecessor. Notably, the upcoming model will feature a unique pill-shaped camera island instead of the traditional rectangular module. Additionally, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Pad 2 will soon make its debut in India.

Display and Key Features of the Redmi Pad 2 4G

The Redmi Pad 2 4G will boast an impressive 11-inch display, offering a sharp 2.5K resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, as revealed in a recent post on X. Promotional images indicate that the tablet will have noticeably thick bezels. The device is expected to be available in blue and grey color options. It will run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, enhancing the user experience with its optimized interface.

In India, the Redmi Pad 2 will be accessible through major online platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, and Xiaomi’s official e-store. Xiaomi plans to unveil more details about the Indian variant on June 5, generating excitement among potential buyers.

Performance and Battery Life

Under the hood, the Redmi Pad 2 is anticipated to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset, ensuring robust performance for various applications. The tablet is expected to house a substantial 9,000mAh battery, supporting 18W wired fast charging for quick power-ups. This combination of a powerful processor and a large battery is likely to appeal to users seeking a reliable device for both work and entertainment.

The camera setup on the Redmi Pad 2 includes an 8-megapixel AI-enhanced main sensor with an f/2.0 aperture on the rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. This configuration aims to deliver quality photography and videography experiences.

Audio and Connectivity Features

The Redmi Pad 2 is also expected to feature a quad speaker system with Dolby Atmos support, promising an immersive audio experience for users. Additionally, the tablet will include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port, catering to various connectivity needs.

In select European markets, the tablet is projected to be available in two variants: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Pricing for these models is expected to be around EUR 229 (approximately Rs. 22,000) and EUR 279 (approximately Rs. 26,000), respectively. This competitive pricing strategy positions the Redmi Pad 2 as an attractive option in the tablet market.

The original Redmi Pad features a 10.61-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, and a slightly smaller 8,000mAh battery. It also includes a Dolby Atmos-backed quad speaker setup, making it a solid choice for multimedia consumption.
