Initially, the film was stalled because of its content, but it has now received a U/A 16+ rating after undergoing substantial edits. Reports indicate that several dialogues were revised to remove references to caste history and discrimination. Notably, phrases like “3,000 years of backlog” and caste-specific slurs were either altered or muted. Additionally, a scene depicting public urination was entirely cut, and a sequence showing the humiliation of a character’s father was shortened. The CBFC also mandated a revised disclaimer, which now lasts 1 minute and 51 seconds and must be read aloud during the film.
