Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) Announces Update

The 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) is scheduled for June 9 and 10, 2025, at the Novotel in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This significant event is a collaborative effort between the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), along with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The conference aims to foster discussions on enhancing public service quality through digital transformation, aligning with the theme “Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation.”

Conference Details and Objectives

The upcoming NCeG will feature a comprehensive agenda, including six plenary sessions and six breakout sessions. These discussions will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to explore actionable strategies for improving public services. The overarching goal is to implement the principle of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” to achieve a developed India, or Viksit Bharat. Participants will have the opportunity to share insights and propose innovative solutions to current governance challenges.

Keynote Speakers and Special Guests

The conference will be inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, who will also chair a plenary session focused on establishing Visakhapatnam as an IT hub. Notable speakers include Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan and Minister of IT & Human Resources Shri N. Lokesh, who will deliver keynote addresses. The event will also see the participation of senior officials from both State and Central Governments, ensuring a high-level discourse on the future of e-governance in India.

Awards and Recognition

During the conference, the National e-Gov Awards (NAeG) 2025 will be presented by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for various ministries, including Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions. These awards aim to recognize outstanding contributions to e-governance and encourage further innovation in public service delivery. The recognition of exemplary projects will serve as a benchmark for future initiatives in the sector.

Registration and Preparations

DARPG has launched a dedicated portal, nceg.gov.in, for participant registration. This platform is open to representatives from Central Ministries, State/UT Governments, industry, academia, startups, exhibitors, awardees, speakers, and panelists. In preparation for the conference, a virtual meeting was held on April 30, 2025, chaired by Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary of DARPG. This meeting provided a detailed overview of the conference’s structure and significance, with participation from various stakeholders, including senior officials from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and NASSCOM. The Government of Andhra Pradesh also shared updates on the event’s preparations, ensuring a well-organized and impactful conference.
