Scene 1: Strangers Under One Roof
Parashar leads Nutan through the dusty courtyard of his childhood home. His Bua squints at her, arms folded. “Why did you bring this girl?” she demands. Parashar grips Nutan’s shoulder. “She needs help,” he says simply. A sharp voice cuts in: “Is this your wife ?” Kanka, a girl in a red saree, steps forward. Nutan clutches the baby in her arms. “No,” she mumbles. “We’re not married.” Fufa, Parashar’s uncle, leans closer. “Then why hide things? If you saved her, just say so!” Parashar stiffens. “I told you the truth. She needed shelter.” Kanka scoffs. “She’s a city girl! They lie and vanish when they want.” She glares at Nutan. “Your caste? Speak up!” Nutan shrinks. “I wanted help… Parashar gave it.”
Rani, another villager, snaps: “Don’t play innocent! You know Parashar promised to marry Kanka years ago!” Mangala, an elder, waves them quiet. “He rescued her from a thug. That’s enough for now.” Parashar explodes: “I came back after ages, and this is my welcome?” He grabs Nutan’s hand. “If you won’t trust me, we’ll leave!” Kanka sneers. “Running away proves guilt. She cursed you!” Fufa growls: “If she’s your responsibility, marry her!”
Scene 2: Lines in the Sand
The room buzzes with arguments. Kanka circles Nutan like a hawk. “You think Parashar will protect you forever?” she jeers. Nutan pleads: “Please stop fighting. I’ll just go.” She turns to Parashar. “Drop me at the bus stand.” “No!” Parashar roars. He shoves the baby into her arms. “Stay in my room. Work here. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
Bua crosses herself. “Tell Sarpanch the truth when he comes tomorrow.” Outside, villagers chant for a wedding feast. Parashar snaps: “I’m celebrating my return, not marriage!” Kanka spits: “We’ll never accept her!” Later, Nutan tiptoes to the market with a silver ring. “Sell this for milk,” Parashar whispers. “Villagers hate outsiders,” he adds. “But Sarpanch will force us to tie the knot.” “I don’t want that!” Nutan protests. “Neither do I,” Parashar mutters. “But I’ll guard you. Farming’s our life here. Learn it.”
Scene 3: The Sarpanch’s Shadow
Back home, Kanka seethes. “That ring proves nothing! She’ll betray you!” Parashar ignores her, pacing. “Journeyed for years to serve this country, and now this?” he mutters. Nutan returns, clutching milk. “Villagers stared,” she murmurs. “They respect power,” Parashar replies. “Tomorrow, Sarpanch decides your place here.” “Will you marry me?” Nutan blurts. “Not dying to,” Parashar shrugs. “But I’ll fight if needed.”
Scene 4: Two Worlds Collide
Switch to Aniruddh’s house, miles away. Shubhankar grins: “Jhanak fled? Good riddance!” Tanuja huffs. “She left because of Arshi’s lies!” Anjana sobs: “Police found nothing. She vanished from every station!” Bablu mutters: “She’d rather die than come back.” Aniruddh slumps in a corner. “I trusted Arshi… ruined everything.” He stares at the door. “But I believe in her.” Back in the village, Kanka ambushes Nutan. “Leave Parashar!” she screeches. Nutan stands tall. “He helped me freely. No strings.” Kanka snarls: “City rats always run!” Parashar charges in. “Enough! Nutan’s staying.”

Precap: Sarpanch warns Parashar: “You can’t keep Nutan without a proper bond.” Nutan sighs, ready to leave. But Parashar shocks everyone: “She’s my wife now. We’ll stay together.” Nutan freezes, stunned.
