Remedy’s Co-Op Shooter FBC Firebreak Set to Launch on June 17
Remedy Entertainment has officially announced the release date for its highly anticipated co-op shooter, FBC Firebreak. Set in the universe of the acclaimed action-adventure game Control, this three-player first-person shooter will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X starting June 17. During a recent developer live-stream, the studio revealed that while FBC Firebreak is a paid title in a market dominated by free-to-play options, it will be accessible from day one on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.
Details on Pricing and Editions
FBC Firebreak will be priced at $39.99 in the United States, with equivalent prices of EUR 39.99 and GBP 32.99 in Europe and the UK, respectively. Indian pricing has yet to be confirmed. Players can purchase the game through popular platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC, as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. Additionally, Remedy will offer a Deluxe Edition for $49.99, which includes exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. For those who already own the base game, a separate upgrade to the Deluxe Edition will be available for $10.00.
Subscribers to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate will have the opportunity to play FBC Firebreak at no extra cost. On the PlayStation side, the game will be included in the PS Plus Game Catalog, available to members of the Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers.
Post-Launch Content and Future Plans
Remedy has also shared its plans for post-launch content for FBC Firebreak. The studio intends to introduce two new Jobs in 2025, expanding the gameplay experience for players. Furthermore, all post-launch content, including these new Jobs, will be free for all players, ensuring that the community remains engaged and supported after the initial release.
