In this written update, we follow the ongoing story of our favourite characters as they face new challenges, share emotional moments, and continue their journey. In Today’s Episode, Neil and Teju complete their wedding rituals with support from their families. Vedant makes Neil promise to keep Teju safe from tears. Jeetu, Vinod, and Bhushan worry about telling Leena. Teju’s singing adds joy to the celebration. Then Rituraj arrives unexpectedly and appears stunned at Teju’s marriage, hinting at more drama to follow….. Scene 1 – The Garland Exchange and a Missing Father
Neil and Teju stand together at the wedding altar. A priest in simple robes looks at them and nods. He tells them, “Now, please exchange garlands.” Teju and Neil carefully place fresh flower garlands around each other’s necks. Their families watch them with gentle smiles. A soft breeze passes through the area, and it feels like a small sign of blessing. Mukta, who is Teju’s relative, stands close by. She notices the priest glancing around for Teju’s parents. The priest raises his voice a bit and says, “Will the bride’s mother and father please come forward for the kanyadaan?” At that moment, Mukta slowly shakes her head. She says, “Teju’s father is no longer with us. He passed away some time ago.” Her words sound sad, and everyone grows quiet for a moment. Teju’s mother looks down, missing her husband. She cannot speak. Omi and Sonali, who are relatives of Teju, step up. They smile kindly and assure everyone, “We will do the kanyadaan. We want Teju to be happy.” Teju glances at them with grateful eyes. She knows they are trying to fill a big gap in this ceremony. Omi and Sonali hold Teju’s hands and place them in Neil’s hands. They say, “We give Teju to you with all our blessings. Please care for her always.”
The priest utters short prayers while the ceremony continues. Teju’s family members bow their heads together, repeating holy words. She exhales in relief, hoping the wedding proceeds smoothly. In the corner, a few cousins whisper about how sad it is that Teju’s father could not be here. But they also smile, thinking Teju and Neil look good together. The mood feels calm yet emotional as the ceremony moves on. Teju’s mother clutches her saree edge, remembering her husband. She feels a mix of excitement and slight worry, hoping everything goes right. Neil glances back at her, appearing calm. The priest picks up the holy text again and says, “Neil, please put the mangalsutra around Teju’s neck.” Neil lifts a thin chain with black beads and a small pendant. He carefully fastens it around Teju’s neck. Everyone watches with quiet delight, for this step means they are more than just two people; they are becoming a family. Next, the priest instructs, “Neil, put the sindoor on Teju’s hairline.” Neil takes a pinch of red powder and gently places it on the parting in Teju’s hair. Teju bows her head. Her heart feels warm, realizing she is stepping into a new role: a married woman. The families nod, and some softly clap. Then the priest tells them to take the pheras. Neil and Teju stand up with the cloth joining them. Step by step, they circle around the holy fire. Each circle stands for a promise: sharing love, respect, trust, and support in every part of life. Omi and Sonali watch from the side and think of the duties they just performed. They are glad to see Teju entering a bond with someone who seems respectful.
When they complete the seventh circle, the priest raises both hands and proclaims, “Your marriage is now complete. You are husband and wife in the eyes of everyone here.” A soft cheer goes up from the guests. Some relatives let out happy exclamations, while a few children clap their hands in excitement. The chatter dies down a bit. Vedant addresses Neil, saying, “I have one request: please promise me you will protect Teju and never let her cry. If she feels hurt, comfort her. If she feels lost, guide her.” Neil looks at Teju, then back at Vedant. Neil nods. “I promise,” he says in a clear, calm voice. Teju hears these words and feels her heart lighten. She had heard about Neil’s kindness, but this vow gives her even more hope. The priest then instructs the couple, “Now, go take blessings from your elders.” Neil and Teju move around the gathering. Teju first bends to touch her mother’s feet, who gently cups Teju’s face and says, “Stay happy, my child.” Neil follows, seeking blessings from the older relatives in his family. They pat his shoulder, telling him to keep Teju safe.
Yash, who is also part of Neil’s family, smiles broadly. He says, “Our new sister-in-law is so pretty!” Neil blushes slightly, and in a lighthearted tone, he says, “Not only is she pretty, but her singing is as wonderful as her looks.” His words cause many people around them to chuckle. Manjari and other family members begin to tease Neil, making playful remarks like, “Oh, look at him praising his wife already!” Teju, a bit shy, smiles at Neil. She never expected him to speak so freely about her. She notices her mother giving a small nod of approval in the background. Everything feels magical in that moment, as if the tension of the day has softened. Meanwhile, the priest collects his items, satisfied that the wedding rituals are done correctly. The air seems filled with warmth and gentle whispers of congratulations. People come up to greet the newlyweds. Someone offers Teju a sweet treat, and she quietly thanks them. Neil stands next to her, looking calm but happy. This warm environment makes both of them feel that maybe all the worries will fade away. Scene 4 – Concerns About Leena and a Sudden Departure
Jeetu, Vinod, and Bhushan stand in a corner, noticing Neil’s cheerful face. Jeetu comments, “This is the first time Neil has looked happy since he heard about the marriage plans.” Vinod, who has a thoughtful face, nods slowly. He says, “But remember, Leena has no idea about this. We do not know how she will react.” Bhushan sighs and responds, “Yes, that is true. We should tell her soon. She might be upset if she finds out from someone else.” Vinod looks at Neil, who is smiling while talking to Teju’s family members. He continues, “I think we should talk to Leena ourselves, face to face. But I also do not want to spoil Neil’s happiness right now.” Bhushan pats Vinod on the arm. “You are right. Let him enjoy this moment a little longer. We can go to Leena immediately and explain everything.” Just then, Omi walks over to them with a bright grin. He asks, “Why are you all standing here? Please come join us for food. We have set up a table with everyone’s favorite dishes.” Bhushan politely declines, saying, “We would love to, but we really must go right now. We have something important to handle.” Omi, understanding the seriousness of their tone, steps back and nods. “Go ahead. I hope everything works out.”
Jeetu and Vinod give a last glance at Neil, who is busy shaking hands with more guests. They feel a hint of worry, but they also see how content Neil looks. Bhushan then says, “He seems so different now. It is good to see him smile.” Jeetu agrees softly, “Yes, this marriage is not just a formality. It might actually bring him real joy.” With that, they head toward the exit, planning to meet Leena. They do not share the full details with others. They only say they will return soon. A few relatives ask them to stay for a bit longer, but they wave goodbye and slip out. Meanwhile, Teju notices them leave and wonders if everything is fine. She whispers to Neil, “Where are they going?” Neil replies, “Probably something to do with family matters. I am sure they will be back later.” Even though the day is filled with celebrations, a small cloud of concern hangs in the air. But for now, the wedding still continues as other guests gather around the newlyweds.
Scene 5 – Lighthearted Teasing and Teju’s Song
Neil’s cousins crowd around him and Teju. They giggle and say, “Neil, we have never seen you look so at ease. Are you sure you are the same person?” Neil lets out a small laugh. He shrugs and says, “I might seem new, but I am still me.” The cousins nudge each other. One of them turns to Teju and says, “We heard you sing beautifully. Will you sing a little for us?” Teju hesitates, glancing at Neil. She is not sure if it is the right time. Neil, sensing her hesitation, encourages gently, “I would love to hear your voice too. Please sing something.” Teju looks at her mother, who nods in support. Slowly, Teju clears her throat and begins a soft tune. Her voice is melodic, even though she sings quietly. The room seems to settle in calm silence for a moment. People stop to listen, and her gentle notes spread through the hall.
When she finishes, the cousins burst into applause. Some people nearby cheer, “That was amazing!” Neil smiles widely. “I knew it,” he says. “From the first time I heard her humming, I realized she has a wonderful voice.” Teju blushes, looking down. She is not used to so much attention, but her heart feels light. Manjari, who earlier tied the gatbandhan, teases Neil, “You better watch out. If Teju sings this sweetly, everyone will ask her to sing at all the family gatherings. Then you will have to stand there, feeling proud each time.” Neil laughs and replies, “I will be happy to be proud. I have no problem with that.” The group continues to tease Neil. One cousin jokes, “Neil, make sure you do not start crying if people like her singing more than they like your jokes.” He pretends to wipe a tear, and everyone laughs. Teju looks around, thankful that people are so accepting of her. The day has been long, but she feels she is surrounded by warmth. In the corner, a table is filled with plates of sweets and snacks. A few children munch on treats while listening to Teju. Some older relatives hum the tune she just sang. The mood stays cheerful, with small bursts of fun chatter. Scene 6 – Rituraj’s Dramatic Arrival and the Shocking Discovery
Suddenly, the music changes in the background. A familiar face steps in: Rituraj. He walks into the wedding area with slow steps, almost as if a quiet song is playing just for him. People notice him and wonder why he seems so intense. He scans the hall until his eyes land on Teju. He stops in his tracks. His mouth opens slightly, and he looks as if he cannot believe what he sees. Teju is standing next to Neil, dressed in her wedding attire, with the mangalsutra around her neck and a slight trace of sindoor on her hairline. Rituraj stares at her, stunned. It appears he did not know about Teju’s wedding at all. A few guests sense the sudden stillness and turn to watch Rituraj. Some wonder who he is. Others whisper to each other, trying to recall if he was an invited guest. In that moment, the chatter in the room fades a bit. Teju and Neil also notice his presence. Neil furrows his brow, unsure why Rituraj is standing there so quietly.
Manjari leans toward a family member and whispers, “Do you know him? Why does he look so shocked?” The relative shrugs. Rituraj finally steps forward, still looking at Teju. He moves closer to the newlyweds. Everyone watches with curiosity. Teju tries to keep her voice steady as she says, “Rituraj, why are you here?” She can see the confusion in his face. He does not answer right away. Instead, he looks at Neil, then back at Teju’s wedding attire. It seems like he is putting all the pieces together in his mind. At the same time, the priest ends another short chant, announcing that the formal wedding steps are done. But the festive air suddenly feels heavy. Guests sense some tension, though they are not sure why. Neil, standing next to Teju, gently places a hand on her shoulder, silently letting her know he is there. Rituraj’s arrival casts a shadow of surprise over the event, making many wonder what will happen next. The episode ends here, leaving everyone with a big question: Why did Rituraj show up, and what does this mean for Teju and Neil’s fresh marriage?
