Empowering Women: Legal Affairs Department Celebrates with Agra Trip

The Department of Legal Affairs organized a memorable trip to Agra for its female officers and staff on March 1, 2025, in celebration of International Womenโ€™s Day. The initiative, supported by Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, aimed to honor and empower women within the department. The trip, meticulously planned by Secretary Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, provided an enriching experience that allowed participants to unwind and appreciate their contributions.

Exploring Agra’s Heritage

The highlight of the trip was a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The female officers were captivated by the stunning white marble mausoleum, which symbolizes love and architectural brilliance. A guided tour offered them in-depth insights into the history and significance of this timeless masterpiece, enhancing their appreciation for its beauty and cultural importance.

Following their visit to the Taj Mahal, the group explored the Red Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour guide shared intriguing stories about the fort’s historical significance and its role during the Mughal era, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. The combination of these two iconic sites provided a rich cultural backdrop for the participants, allowing them to connect with India’s heritage while celebrating their own achievements.

Positive Feedback and Acknowledgments

The trip received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the female officers, who expressed gratitude for the thoughtful organization of the event. Many participants emphasized the importance of such initiatives in recognizing and appreciating women’s contributions in the workplace. The Department of Legal Affairs also extended its heartfelt thanks to the Uttar Pradesh Government, the Superintendent Archaeologist, and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for their exemplary arrangements and support during the trip.
