Samsung Launches Galaxy A56 and A36 5G Ahead of MWC 2025

Samsung has officially unveiled its latest smartphones, the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G, globally on Sunday, just ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025. Both models are now listed on Samsung’s official Indian website, complete with pricing details. However, the price for the Galaxy A26 5G remains undisclosed. These new additions to the Galaxy A series feature impressive 50-megapixel triple rear cameras and operate on the latest Android 15-based One UI 7.
Pricing Details for Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G in India
The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is priced starting at Rs. 41,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models are available for Rs. 44,999 and Rs. 47,999, respectively, as confirmed in a recent press release. In contrast, the Galaxy A36 5G begins at Rs. 32,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version, with the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations priced at Rs. 35,999 and Rs. 38,999, respectively.
To celebrate the launch, Samsung is offering a limited-time promotion where customers can purchase the 8GB + 256GB variants of both the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G at the price of their 8GB + 128GB counterparts. The Galaxy A56 5G is available in three color options: Awesome Graphite, Awesome Light Grey, and Awesome Olive. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A36 5G comes in Awesome Black, Awesome Lavender, and Awesome White shades.

Both the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G boast 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED displays with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Victus+ Glass. They come equipped with advanced AI features, including Auto Trim, Best Face, AI Select, and Read Aloud, enhancing the user experience.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A56 5G is powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, while the Galaxy A36 5G utilizes the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC. Both models support up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, running on Android 15-based One UI 7. Samsung promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for these devices.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy A56 5G features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The Galaxy A36 5G has a similar configuration but replaces the ultrawide sensor with an 8-megapixel variant. Both smartphones are equipped with 12-megapixel front-facing cameras.
Powering these devices is a robust 5,000mAh battery, supporting 45W wired fast charging. They also feature an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability.
