The National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD) in Kolkata marked the occasion with a seminar, wheelchair distribution, and engaging sports activities for wheelchair users. The event celebrated the resilience of individuals with disabilities, featuring a special recognition for Ms. Dolly, a wheelchair user known for her inspiring outlook on life. Similarly, CRC Tripura held sessions focusing on the rights and needs of wheelchair users. In Davangere, a collaboration with ALIMCO led to wheelchair operation training for 26 beneficiaries, along with the distribution of 90 assistive devices. Meanwhile, CRC Nellore hosted a wheelchair race competition, promoting awareness about International Wheelchair Day while distributing wheelchairs to those in need. These activities collectively highlighted the importance of community support in building a more inclusive society.
