Jyotirao Govindrao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890), the great Indian thinker who first started the work of untouchability and women’s education in Maharashtra He was a social worker, writer, philosopher and revolutionary activist. He died on 28 November 1890 in Pune, Maharashtra.
Shankar Shesh (2 October 1933 – 28 November 1981), a famous Hindi playwright and cinematographer. He was one of the important playwrights in the field of drama literature. The sensitivity of his personality was formed by the contemporary environment and the circumstances of the era. Shankar Shesh was recognized as a multi-faceted genius writer. He was a Hindi officer in a bank in Mumbai. His fame had increased with his plays like ‘Fundi’, ‘Ek Tha Dronacharya’, ‘Raktbeej’ etc. His dissertation was based on a comparative study of Hindi Marathi story writers. Shankar Shesh was a very sympathetic and non-aligned writer. A famous film was also made in Hindi on the story ‘Gharonda’ composed by him. He died on 28 November 1981.
