Xiaomi has officially launched its latest innovation, the AI Glasses, during a recent event in China. These cutting-edge smart glasses are powered by Xiaomi’s Vela OS and utilize the Snapdragon AR1+ chip. Additionally, they offer features such as live object recognition and real-time text translation, boasting an impressive battery life of over eight hours on a single charge.

Pricing and Availability of Xiaomi AI Glasses

The Xiaomi AI Glasses are available in various models, with prices starting at CNY 1,999, approximately Rs. 23,900, for the standard version. For those interested in the single-color electrochromic variant, the price rises to CNY 2,699, or roughly Rs. 32,200. The premium multicolor electrochromic edition is priced at CNY 2,999, which translates to about Rs. 35,800. Consumers can purchase these smart glasses in China through Xiaomi’s official website and various retail outlets. The glasses come in three color options: Black, Brown, and Green.

Specifications and Features of Xiaomi AI Glasses

The Xiaomi AI Glasses are designed to be compatible with smartphones running Android 10 or iOS 15 and newer versions. However, to unlock the full range of features, users must pair the glasses with a device that has Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin. The glasses feature a D-shaped frame made from TR90 nylon, complemented by durable titanium hinges that have undergone rigorous testing for over 18,000 usage cycles.

Equipped with a Snapdragon AR1+ chip, the glasses come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The 12-megapixel camera utilizes a Sony IMX681 sensor, capable of capturing images at a resolution of 4,032ร—3,024 pixels and recording videos in 2K at 30 frames per second. Additionally, the device includes five bone conduction microphones to enhance audio capture.

Connectivity and Battery Life

Connectivity options for the Xiaomi AI Glasses include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring seamless integration with other devices. The glasses support the Xiao AI assistant, which provides real-time translation in over ten languages, object recognition, and the ability to identify macros and calories in food using the built-in camera. Users can also access meeting summaries through the Xiaomi Glasses app.

The smart glasses are powered by a 263mAh silicon carbon battery, which Xiaomi claims can deliver up to 8.6 hours of active use or approximately 21 hours in standby mode. Charging the glasses takes just 45 minutes via a USB Type-C port. Additionally, they feature an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and splashes, making them suitable for everyday use.
