Xiaomi Launches High-Performance SU7 Ultra EV

Xiaomi has officially launched its highly anticipated SU7 Ultra electric vehicle (EV) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona on March 2. This performance-focused model, first unveiled in July, is an upgraded version of the existing SU7 EV, which has been available in China since last year. With impressive specifications, including a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 1.98 seconds, the SU7 Ultra is set to make waves in the electric vehicle market.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Price
The starting price for the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra in China is CNY 529,900, approximately Rs. 64 lakh. The vehicle is available with several optional configurations, including the “Racing Package” and the “Nรผrburgring Nordschleife Limited Edition.” These options will be offered once the production model successfully completes the Nรผrburgring Nordschleife lap challenge. Customers can choose from five striking exterior colors: Lightning Yellow, Space Silver, Verdant Green, Pearl White, and Obsidian Black. Pre-orders for the SU7 Ultra began in October last year, and the official sales have now commenced in China.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Specifications
The production version of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra retains the same motor configuration, chassis structure, and battery pack as the prototype showcased previously. It features proprietary triple HyperEngine electric motors, comprising two V8 motors and one V6 motor, strategically placed at the front and rear wheels. Together, these motors deliver an impressive maximum output of 1,548 horsepower and peak torque of 635 Nm, with the HyperEngine V8s e-motors reaching a maximum revolution of 27,200 rpm.
Designed for track performance, the SU7 Ultra comes equipped with dual-chamber air springs and high-performance adaptive dampers, allowing drivers to adjust spring stiffness and damping settings. The vehicle’s tri-motor configuration includes torque-vectoring control, enabling independent torque distribution at a frequency of 500 times per second. The SU7 Ultra can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 5.86 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h. To ensure safety at these high speeds, it features carbon ceramic brake discs and high-performance brake pads, achieving a braking distance from 100-0 km/h in just 30.8 meters.
Advanced Features and Technology
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with a Qilin 2.0 battery pack sourced from CATL, integrated into the vehicle’s body using cell-to-body (CTB) technology for enhanced efficiency. This battery has a capacity of 150 kWh, delivering a maximum discharge power of 1,330 kW, and can still output 800 kW with only 20% charge remaining. It supports rapid charging, reaching full capacity in under 12 minutes, and boasts a maximum CLTC range of 630 km.
For improved heat dissipation, the battery pack features dual large-surface active cooling and a bulletproof coating for enhanced durability. Safety features include Mis-Acceleration Inhibition (MAI) and Low Speed Autonomous Emergency Braking (LAEB), which help prevent unintended acceleration in collision scenarios. The SU7 Ultra’s exterior design shares similarities with the Xiaomi SU7 Max but includes an aerodynamic kit and larger dimensions, measuring 5115mm x 1970mm x 1465mm with a 3000mm wheelbase.
Inside, the cabin offers upgraded sport seats with active side support, a revamped steering wheel, and various interior color options. Additional features include dual 50W wireless phone charging, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, and integrated technology powered by the Snapdragon 8295 chip platform. The vehicle is designed to work seamlessly with Xiaomi’s “Human x Car x Home” ecosystem, enhancing the overall user experience.
