Xiaomi has unveiled its latest audio innovation, the Buds 5 Pro, during a launch event in China on Thursday, coinciding with the introduction of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone. These true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones come in two variants: a standard Bluetooth version and a new Wi-Fi model that promises high-resolution lossless audio transmission. With impressive features such as active noise cancellation (ANC) of up to 55dB and a battery life of up to 40 hours, the Buds 5 Pro aim to enhance the listening experience for users.
Pricing and Availability of Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro
The Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro are priced competitively in China, starting at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 15,600) for the Bluetooth variant. The Wi-Fi version is available for CNY 1,499 (around Rs. 18,000). Consumers can purchase these earphones directly from the Xiaomi China e-store. The Wi-Fi model is offered in a sleek Mirage Black color, while the Bluetooth version comes in two stylish options: Snow Mountain White and Titanium Gold.
Key Features and Specifications
Designed with a traditional in-ear style, the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro boast a sophisticated dual amplifier and triple driver system. This includes 11mm titanium-plated woofers and 10mm ceramic tweeters, delivering a rich audio experience. The earphones feature audio tuning by Harman AudioEFX and provide a spatial audio experience with dynamic head tracking. Users can enjoy up to 55dB of active noise cancellation and 100dB of call noise reduction, making them suitable for various environments.
Connectivity is robust, with support for Bluetooth 5.4 and a range of audio codecs, including AAC, SBC, aptX Lossless, and aptX Adaptive LC3.
