Vivo V60 Surfaces on SIRIM and TUV Platforms, Potential Launch Imminent

Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch its latest smartphone, the Vivo V60, which has recently surfaced on certification websites in Malaysia. This new addition to the V series is expected to succeed the Vivo V50, which was introduced in India earlier this year. With its anticipated features and specifications, the Vivo V60 is generating excitement among tech enthusiasts, particularly as it is expected to share similarities with the Vivo S30, unveiled in China in May.

Vivo V60 Certifications Indicate Upcoming Release

The Vivo V60 has been spotted on both the SIRIM and TUV certification websites, carrying the model number V2511. The SIRIM certification confirms the phone’s name, while the TUV listing suggests that it will support 90W fast charging capabilities. These certifications are strong indicators that Vivo is preparing for a launch in the Asian market. However, the company has not yet announced an official launch date, so potential buyers should remain cautious about these developments.

The Vivo V50, which debuted in India in February, was a rebranded version of the Vivo S20 that was released in China in December 2024. Following this trend, the upcoming Vivo V60 is expected to be based on the Vivo S30, which was launched in China in May. Speculations suggest that the Vivo V60 could make its debut as early as August.

Expected Features and Specifications

The Vivo S30, which serves as the foundation for the Vivo V60, boasts impressive specifications. It features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260ร—2,800 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, offering configurations of up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Additionally, the S30 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, highlighted by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT700V sensor, and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

The Vivo S30 is powered by a robust 6,500mAh battery, which supports the aforementioned 90W fast charging. In terms of pricing, the Vivo S30 is available in China for CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 32,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. In contrast, the Vivo V50 is priced at Rs. 34,999 in India for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option.

Market Expectations and Competitive Landscape

As the smartphone market continues to evolve, the Vivo V60 is expected to compete with various models from other manufacturers. With its advanced specifications and features, it aims to attract consumers looking for high-performance devices at competitive prices. The anticipated launch of the Vivo V60 comes at a time when consumers are increasingly seeking smartphones that offer both functionality and value.

While Vivo has yet to confirm the launch date, the buzz surrounding the V60 suggests that it could be a significant player in the mid-range smartphone segment. As more details emerge, tech enthusiasts and potential buyers will be keenly watching for updates from Vivo regarding the official announcement and availability of the Vivo V60 in various markets.
