Vivo Launches New X200 Series Smartphones in India

Vivo has officially launched its latest X200 series smartphones in India, featuring the Vivo X200 Pro and the standard Vivo X200. These new devices, unveiled on Thursday, are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. They come with impressive IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring robust water and dust resistance. The X200 series is designed for photography enthusiasts, boasting triple rear camera setups co-engineered with Zeiss optics. The Pro model is further enhanced with Vivo’s proprietary V3+ imaging chip. With substantial battery capacities of 5,800mAh for the X200 and 6,000mAh for the Pro variant, these smartphones promise long-lasting performance. The series was initially introduced in China in October.

Pricing Details for Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200

The pricing for the Vivo X200 series in India reflects its premium features. The Vivo X200 Pro is available at a price of Rs. 94,999 for the model equipped with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Buyers can choose between two elegant color options: Cosmos Black and Titanium Grey.

In contrast, the standard Vivo X200 is priced more affordably. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is available for Rs. 65,999, while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs Rs. 71,999. Customers can select from Cosmos Black and Natural Green shades. To make the purchase more accessible, Vivo is offering attractive financing options, including up to nine months of no-cost EMI plans. Additionally, buyers can benefit from an instant discount of up to Rs. 9,500, a one-year extended warranty, and an exchange bonus of up to Rs. 9,500. These offers aim to enhance the purchasing experience for potential customers.

Specifications of Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200

Both the Vivo X200 Pro and the standard Vivo X200 operate on Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15. The Pro model features a large 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (1,260×2,800 pixels), offering a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a pixel density of 452ppi. The standard Vivo X200 has a slightly smaller 6.67-inch AMOLED display with the same resolution and refresh rate, but a slightly higher pixel density of 460ppi. Both displays are designed to deliver exceptional brightness, reaching peaks of 4,500 nits, and feature 2,160Hz PWM dimming for a smooth viewing experience.

Under the hood, both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The camera capabilities are a standout feature of the series. The Vivo X200 Pro is equipped with a sophisticated triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 200-megapixel telephoto ISOCELL HP9 sensor with OIS and 3.7x optical zoom. The standard Vivo X200 features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS, alongside two additional 50-megapixel sensors for wide-angle and telephoto shots. Both models include a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for high-quality selfies.

Connectivity and Battery Features

The Vivo X200 series smartphones come equipped with a wide range of connectivity options. Users can enjoy 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and various satellite navigation systems, including BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC. The devices also support OTG and feature a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

In terms of sensors, both models include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, flicker sensor, gyroscope, laser focus sensor, and an infrared blaster. For security, an in-display fingerprint sensor is available for easy and secure authentication.

Battery life is another highlight of the Vivo X200 series. The flagship Vivo X200 Pro is powered by a robust 6,000mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The Pro model measures approximately 162×75.95×8.49mm and weighs 228 grams. Meanwhile, the standard Vivo X200 features a slightly smaller 5,800mAh battery with the same 90W wired fast charging capability. It measures 162×74.81×7.99mm and weighs around 202 grams. With these impressive specifications, the Vivo X200 series aims to deliver a premium smartphone experience to users in India.
