The popular Bollywood actor has recently joined forces with Better Nutrition, a nutrition-focused brand, as both an investor and brand ambassador. He made the announcement via an Instagram reel on October 7, revealing how his newfound passion for farming has led him to explore the vital role of nutrition in health and wellness.
In his post, Varun shared that the founders of Better Nutrition, Prateek Rastogi and Aishwarya Bhatnagar, reached out to him after they noticed his posts about his farming endeavors. This interaction inspired him to take his agricultural project further and become actively involved with the brand. “So… turns out farming was only the beginning. I realised nutrition could be a bigger part of the journey. After Prateek and Aishwarya at Better Nutrition reached out, I was inspired to take this farm on its own journey, as well as become an integral part of the brand itself to provide India BETTER NUTRITION,” Varun stated.

Varun Dhawan’s interest in farming has been evident for several weeks. In August, he proudly announced the purchase of a farm, calling it the biggest achievement of his life. By early September, he shared images from his paddy fields, marking the beginning of his farming journey. However, his enthusiasm soon evolved beyond just growing crops.
In September, Varun opened up about the challenges he faced on the farm. He mentioned that discussions with local farmers made him more aware of critical issues surrounding soil and crop nutrition. He specifically highlighted the importance of nutrients like zinc and magnesium, raising concerns about the impact of chemicals in farming. His latest partnership with Better Nutrition aligns perfectly with his growing interest in agriculture and the brand’s commitment to biofortified food.

Prateek Rastogi, co-founder of Better Nutrition, expressed his excitement about Varun’s involvement with the company in a LinkedIn post. “Couldn’t have asked for a better partner to join Better Nutrition. Better Nutrition, founded by Rastogi and Aishwarya Bhatnagar, focuses on biofortified staples. The brand gained visibility after appearing on Shark Tank India Season 4, where it pitched its innovative food business. The episode featuring Better Nutrition aired in February 2025.
