UPSC Announces CDS(II) Final Exam Results for 2024

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II) for 2024, revealing a total of 349 candidates who have successfully qualified. This includes candidates for the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy. The results follow the written examination held in September 2024 and subsequent interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board.

Details of Qualified Candidates

Out of the 349 candidates who qualified, the breakdown includes 223 for the Indian Military Academy, 89 for the Indian Naval Academy, and 37 for the Air Force Academy. Notably, some candidates appear on multiple lists, indicating their eligibility for various courses. The UPSC has recommended a total of 3,534 candidates based on the written test results, with 2,534 for the Indian Military Academy, 900 for the Indian Naval Academy, and 613 for the Air Force Academy. The final list of qualified candidates was determined after the SSB tests conducted by the Army Headquarters.

Vacancies and Reservations

The government has confirmed a total of 100 vacancies for the Indian Military Academy, which includes 13 positions reserved for holders of NCC โ€˜Cโ€™ Certificates (Army Wing). Additionally, there are 32 vacancies for the Indian Naval Academy, including 6 reserved for NCC โ€˜Cโ€™ Certificate holders (Naval Wing), and another 32 for the Air Force Academy, with 3 reserved for NCC โ€˜Cโ€™ Certificate holders (Air Wing) through special entry. These vacancies highlight the competitive nature of the selection process for aspiring candidates.

Provisional Candidature and Verification Process

It is important to note that the results are provisional, pending the verification of candidates’ dates of birth and educational qualifications by the Army Headquarters. Candidates are required to submit original certificates along with attested copies to the respective headquarters based on their first choice of academy. Any changes in address must be promptly communicated to the relevant authorities to ensure smooth processing of their applications.

The results are available on the UPSC website, and candidates can view their scores after the final results for the Officersโ€™ Training Academy (OTA) Course are declared.
