The Indian Society of Soil Science (ISSS) and other groups organized this important event. Many esteemed guests, including Prof. Ramesh Chand from NITI Aayog, Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, and Dr. Himanshu Pathak, were present. The conference theme, “Caring Soils Beyond Food Security: Climate Change Mitigation and Ecosystem Services,” highlighted the vital role of soil health.

Importance of Healthy Soil

Union Minister Chouhan spoke about India’s efforts to improve soil health, which is essential for growing food and keeping our planet healthy. Dr. Edoardo Costantini, President of the International Union of Soil Sciences, emphasized the global importance of soil. Dr. S.K. Chaudhari welcomed everyone to the conference, highlighting its theme and the collaborative efforts in organizing it.
