Scene 1: The Empty Stomach and the Empty Kitchen
The episode opens with Tejas waking up early in the morning, feeling very hungry. He walks into the kitchen hoping to find some breakfast ready, but finds nothing on the stove. “Mom, I’m really hungry,” he says to Sayali, who is sitting nearby. Sayali looks at him but doesn’t move. She hasn’t prepared anything yet. Tejas is surprised and asks again, more urgently this time. Tejas then calls out to Roshni and asks her to come help prepare something quickly. Together, they try to figure out what to cook, but the kitchen remains quiet and still. At that moment, Mahesh walks into the Deshmukh house. He is an old friend of Sachin and used to play with both Sachin and Tejas back when they all lived in the village. His arrival brings back many memories for everyone. They start talking about the past, laughing about small things from their childhood. Mahesh tells them he has come to invite Sachin to his brother’s wedding. Sachin, curious as always, starts asking Mahesh about his brother’s love life. “Is he marrying someone he likes?” he asks. After a while, Sachin comes in to check if food is ready. “Did you make anything?” he asks. “No,” she says simply. “I’m not making food for anyone today.” Sachin is confused. “Why? What happened?” Sayali gives him a cold look but doesn’t explain. Meanwhile, Tejas and Roshni return to the kitchen, also looking for breakfast. “I’m starving!” Tejas complains. “Where is the food?” Roshni tries to stay calm. “Maybe it will be ready soon,” she says, though she notices something is off. Later that day, Shobha calls Sayali on the phone. “How are things going there?” she asks. Sayali sounds tired. “Not great.” Shobha senses something is wrong. “And how is your husband?” Sayali’s voice changes. She becomes angry and frustrated. “I don’t want to talk about him.” Shobha is taken aback but tries to stay calm. “Okay… Is everything okay between you two?” Sayali doesn’t answer directly. She ends the call soon after. Shobha shares her concerns with Juhi, but Juhi hasn’t noticed anything unusual. Dilip overhears the conversation and immediately blames Sachin. “This is all his fault,” Dilip says. “He never thinks about others. He only cares about himself.” “Where is the food?” she asks. “Sayali is supposed to take care of this.” She continues to complain loudly. “This is exactly why we have problems. No discipline!” Sachin hears her words and feels pressure mounting. He decides to do something special for Sayali. Maybe a gift would help. Everyone offers suggestions. Some say flowers, others say sweets or jewelry. Sachin isn’t sure what to get, but he knows he needs to try.
Scene 4: Missing Pieces and Lingering Questions
As night falls, Sayali still hasn’t returned home. Sachin checks his phone repeatedly. There are no messages, no missed calls from her. He tries calling her again. Still no answer.
