Scene 1: Sayali’s Efforts to Help Sachin
The episode begins with Sayali noticing that her husband, Sachin, has been dealing with some physical discomfort. Wanting to ease his pain, she insists on giving him a massage. Sachin, although touched by Sayali’s intentions, is apprehensive. He knows that her hands are rough, and he has always found her massages to be more painful than soothing. “Are you sure about this?” Sachin asks hesitantly, looking at her with concern. Sayali, full of determination, responds, “Trust me, you’ll feel much better after this. I’ll take the pain away.” She smiles, trying to reassure him. Sachin reluctantly agrees, lying down as Sayali starts the massage.
However, things quickly go awry. Sayali begins applying pressure, but it’s far too strong. Sachin winces in pain but tries to stay quiet, not wanting to upset her. But when Sayali decides to step on his back, Sachin can’t hold back his scream. “Ouch! Sayali, stop!” he shouts in agony. The loud cry catches Renuka’s attention, and she hurries into the room, her face full of worry. When Renuka enters, she is taken aback. “What is going on here?” she exclaims, seeing Sayali standing on Sachin’s back. Renuka’s shock quickly turns into anger. “Have you lost your mind, Sayali? This is no way to treat your husband!” Renuka scolds her harshly. Embarrassed, Sayali steps down immediately, feeling guilty for causing Sachin pain. Renuka, still fuming, tells Sachin, “You should see a doctor, not let her torture you like this.” With that, she storms out of the room, leaving Sayali feeling ashamed.
Scene 2: Renuka’s Discussion with Paresh
After leaving Sachin and Sayali’s room, Renuka heads straight to her husband, Paresh, to vent her frustration. “You won’t believe what I just saw,” Renuka says, still flustered. “Sayali was practically jumping on Sachin’s back, as if she had no respect for him at all. It was like she was torturing him, and Sachin just let it happen!” Paresh listens patiently but doesn’t share Renuka’s outrage. Instead, he calmly tells her, “You shouldn’t have walked into their room like that, Renuka. They’re a married couple. They need their space, and it’s not our place to interfere in their private matters unless they ask for help.” Renuka looks surprised by his words.
“But I was only trying to help. Sachin was screaming in pain!” she defends herself. Paresh shakes his head. “I understand that, but barging into their room wasn’t the right thing to do. Let them handle their own issues. You need to stay out of it unless they come to you,” he advises. Renuka, though still feeling justified in her actions, begins to realize that she might have overstepped. However, she can’t shake the feeling that something is off, especially after Sachin forgives Sayali so easily. “Maybe Sayali is using some kind of magic on him,” Renuka mutters under her breath, her suspicions growing.
Scene 3: Sachin’s Reflection
While Renuka is discussing the incident with Paresh, Sachin lies in bed, thinking about what just happened. His back still hurts, but he isn’t angry at Sayali. In fact, he feels touched that she tried to help him, even though it didn’t go as planned. “At least she cares,” Sachin thinks to himself. He also reflects on his mother’s reaction. Renuka had rushed into the room the moment she heard his scream, showing that she still cares deeply for him, despite her often strict and overbearing nature. “She was worried about me,” Sachin realizes, feeling a small sense of comfort in that thought.
Though the situation with Sayali was painful, both physically and emotionally, Sachin decides to let it go. He knows that Sayali didn’t mean any harm, and he doesn’t want to create more tension between his mother and his wife. “It’s better to just move on,” he tells himself, hoping that peace will soon return to the household.
Scene 4: Early Morning Rituals Begin
At the crack of dawn, Sayali wakes up Sachin, gently shaking him. “Wake up, it’s time to get ready for the Karwa Chauth rituals,” she whispers, following Renuka’s instructions. Sachin groggily opens his eyes, still unsure why they need to get up so early. “Why do we have to wake up so early?” he asks, rubbing his eyes. “I don’t know exactly, but Renuka told us to, so we have to,” Sayali replies, trying to suppress her own tiredness. The two of them head to the drawing room, where they find Tejas, Sachin’s brother, also looking confused and sleepy.
Renuka soon enters the room, her face serious as she begins to explain the significance of the Karwa Chauth rituals. “This fast is important for married women. They fast for the long life and prosperity of their husbands,” Renuka says, her tone firm. Sayali listens carefully, nodding her head with enthusiasm. She is excited to participate in the ritual, eager to follow the family traditions and show her respect. As Renuka continues to explain, she hands out gifts to both Sayali and Roshni, her two daughters-in-law. Sayali smiles as she opens her gift, but it is clear that Roshni’s gift is much more extravagant. Sachin notices the clear difference and feels a flash of anger. “Why can’t she treat them equally?” he thinks, feeling frustrated by his mother’s favoritism.
Scene 5: Sachin’s Silent Anger at the Dining Table
Later, the family gathers around the dining table for their pre-fast meal. Sayali, as usual, serves Sachin with care and devotion. Despite the earlier events, Sayali remains cheerful and unbothered by the difference in gifts. Sachin, however, can’t let it go. He watches as Roshni happily admires her more expensive gift, while Sayali remains content with the simpler one. His anger simmers under the surface. In an effort to show his love for Sayali, Sachin picks up some food with his hand and gently feeds her. “Here, you should eat too,” he says softly. Sayali looks at him, touched by the gesture, and smiles. This moment of affection between them makes Sachin feel better, but his frustration with Renuka’s bias lingers.
Just as they are about to finish eating, Roshni speaks up, reminding everyone of the fasting rules. “Remember, once the fast begins, we’re not allowed to eat anything during the day,” she says. Her words surprise everyone, as they hadn’t fully realized the strictness of the fast. Sachin, now more focused on the ritual, makes a mental note to keep a close eye on his family to ensure they follow the rules.
Scene 6: Renuka and Tejas Struggle with Fasting
As the hours pass, Renuka and Tejas start to feel the effects of the fast. Both of them are feeling incredibly hungry, but they know they cannot break the fast until the right time. Renuka, in particular, is finding it difficult. She had underestimated how long and tiring the fast would be. Tejas, too, is silently suffering, his stomach growling as he tries to distract himself. Meanwhile, Sachin keeps a watchful eye on both of them. He doesn’t say anything, but his presence is enough to remind them that they must not eat until the fast is over. “Stay strong, only a few more hours to go,” Renuka tells herself, though her stomach grumbles in protest. Tejas shoots her a knowing look, and they both nod in silent agreement to persevere. Neither wants to be the first to give in to hunger, especially with Sachin so vigilant.
