The Panchayati Raj Ministry’s SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) scheme won the National e-Governance Award 2023 (GOLD) for the application of emerging technologies for the provision of on the citizen.
It is a recognition of the excellent and exemplary work done by the SVAMITVA Team and supported by the NIC-MoPR Team. Technology is evolving very rapidly and initiatives to integrate technology with governance reforms have started to bear fruit, and the use of technology under the SVAMITVA program has greatly facilitated citizen-centred governance and helped planning comprehensive of villages to make rural India Atmanirbhar.
Through effective implementation, the SVAMITVA program has succeeded in providing an integrated property validation solution for rural India, improving the financial stability of people living in rural areas and transforming lives in rural India.
