The Union Ministry of Rural Development recently held a significant brainstorming session aimed at enhancing the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). In addition to providing employment, MNREGA has facilitated the construction of durable assets that contribute to rural development. To date, 9.39 crore assets have been built under the scheme, including infrastructure related to social development and agriculture.
