Stellar Blade PC Launch Scheduled for June 11
Stellar Blade, the action-packed title from developer Shift Up, is set to make its debut on PC on June 11, following its successful launch on PS5 over a year ago. The announcement was made on Thursday, coinciding with the release of a trailer on PlayStation’s YouTube channel that highlighted features specific to the PC version. Players can expect additional content, an unlocked framerate, and various enhancements that promise to elevate the gaming experience.
Enhanced Features for PC Players
The PC version of Stellar Blade will introduce several advanced features designed to enhance gameplay. Players can look forward to support for AI upscaling and frame generation technologies, including Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3. This means smoother gameplay, especially on high-end systems, thanks to the unlocked framerate. Additionally, the game will support ultra-wide (21:9) and super ultra-wide (32:9) resolutions, allowing for a more immersive visual experience.
Moreover, the graphics will be significantly improved with high-resolution background textures. To take advantage of these enhancements, players will need to enable the 4K texture option in the game settings. The PC version will also incorporate haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features for the DualSense controller, providing a more tactile and engaging experience. Players will have the flexibility to customize their controls, with full key remapping available for gamepads, keyboards, and mice.
In terms of new content, the game will introduce an additional boss fight featuring Mann, the leader of the Sentinels, as part of the Boss Challenge mode. The protagonist, Eve, will also receive 25 new costumes, which will be available on both the PC and PS5 versions of the game.
Accessibility and Language Support
Shift Up is committed to making Stellar Blade more accessible to a wider audience. The upcoming PC version will include support for Simplified Chinese and Japanese voiceovers across all regions. Additionally, the studio plans to implement facial animations that correspond with these languages, enhancing the overall experience for players who prefer these options.
This move reflects the developer’s dedication to inclusivity, ensuring that players from different linguistic backgrounds can fully enjoy the game. The expanded accessibility options are part of a broader trend in the gaming industry, where developers are increasingly recognizing the importance of catering to diverse audiences.
System Requirements for Stellar Blade on PC
As the launch date approaches, Shift Up has also revealed the system requirements for the PC version of Stellar Blade. Players will need a minimum of 75GB of SSD storage and at least 16GB of RAM to run the game effectively. The minimum specifications include a Windows 10 64-bit operating system, an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X processor, and a graphics card such as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB) for 1080p performance at 60fps on low settings.
For those seeking a more robust experience, the recommended specifications include an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor, along with a graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, allowing for 1440p performance at 60fps on medium settings. Higher settings will require even more powerful hardware, with options for 4K performance at 60fps available for top-tier systems.
