Simple Energy Unveils New Electric Scooter, Simple OneS
Bengaluru-based startup Simple Energy has launched its latest electric scooter, the Simple OneS, in India. This new model joins the company’s existing electric vehicle lineup, which includes the Simple One and One Gen 1.5. The Simple OneS features a powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.55 seconds, boasting an impressive claimed range of up to 181 kilometers on a single charge.
Pricing and Availability of Simple OneS
The Simple OneS is priced at ₹1,39,999 (ex-showroom) and comes with a single, fixed battery pack option. Customers can choose from four vibrant color options: Brazen Black, Azure Blue, Grace White, and Namma Red. Pre-orders for the scooter have already begun, and it will be available for purchase at all 15 Simple Energy showrooms across India, including locations in Bangalore, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vizag, Kochi, and Mangalore.
Specifications of the Simple OneS
Equipped with a PMSM delivering 8.5 kW of power and 72 Nm of torque, the Simple OneS achieves a top speed of 105 km/h. The scooter features a 3.7 kWh battery pack, allowing it to reach 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.55 seconds, a slight improvement over the 2.77 seconds of the Simple One Gen 1.5. Additionally, the scooter incorporates a Combined Braking System (CBS), enabling riders to engage both front and rear brakes simultaneously with a single lever. This feature contributes to a stopping distance of 27 meters.

The Simple OneS is designed with modern technology in mind, featuring a 7-inch TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The accompanying mobile app, available for both Android and iOS, offers a range of functionalities, including remote access, over-the-air (OTA) updates, ride statistics, route saving, remote alerts, and a feature called Simple Tag. These innovations aim to enhance the overall riding experience and provide users with valuable insights into their journeys.
