Scene 1: Painful Comparisons and Emotional Departures
Kartikeya stood before his family and spoke about his father’s silence regarding Raavan’s threatening behavior. “Mahadev did not speak a single word against Raavan during the entire confrontation,” he said with disappointment. “But I will not blame my father for that decision because this must be my destiny.” However, Mahadev decided to challenge his son’s perspective by pointing out the contradiction in his behavior. “You are questioning Raavan’s arrogance and pride,” he told Kartikeya directly. “But at the same time, you are ignoring your mother’s tears and questioning your father’s decisions.”
He continued his criticism of Kartikeya’s stubborn attitude. “You are adamant about leaving Kailash despite the pain it causes your family,” Mahadev observed. “Tell me, what is the difference between Raavan’s arrogance and your current behavior?” This comparison to the demon king hit Kartikeya like a physical blow, and he realized the truth in his father’s words. “You are absolutely right, father,” he admitted with pain. “There is no difference between me and Raavan today because we are both acting out of pride and stubbornness.” He then turned to his wife and made his decision final. “Devsena, let’s go from here immediately,” he said. “We cannot stay in a place where we are not truly welcomed or understood.” Ganesh tried desperately to prevent his brother’s departure. “Please don’t leave us like this,” he pleaded. “We can work through these problems as a family.” Nandi also joined in the appeals for Kartikeya to reconsider his decision.
“You belong here in Kailash with your family,” he said earnestly. “Don’t let anger drive you away from your home.” Devi Parvati made her own emotional appeal to her son. “It’s not right to leave your family home over a misunderstanding,” she said with tears in her voice. “This is where you belong, and we need you here.” However, Devsena had her own perspective on their situation. “This is not our home,” she replied firmly. “So we are not actually leaving our home but simply going where we are truly wanted and respected.” With those final words, Kartikeya left Kailash with Devsena, leaving Devi Parvati crying for her departed son and daughter-in-law.
Scene 2: Divine Justice and Demands for Punishment
In another realm, Shanidev was contemplating Mahadev’s earlier words about destiny and justice when Indradev arrived to make a formal request. “I have come to ask for justice in a matter that concerns the cosmic order,” Indradev announced. “Someone needs to be punished for their actions, and you are the one who can deliver that justice.” Shanidev explained his role in the cosmic system of justice and consequences. “I don’t punish anyone according to my personal will,” he clarified. “Destiny has the ultimate authority over such matters, and my role is to ensure that people face the natural consequences of their actions.”
Indradev pressed his case more urgently. “I want justice, and that is all I ask from you,” he said. “The cosmic balance has been disturbed, and someone must be held accountable.” This made Shanidev curious about the target of Indradev’s complaint. “Who exactly are you seeking justice against?” he inquired. “Which being has committed actions that require my intervention?” Indradev’s answer shocked even Shanidev with its boldness. “I want you to take action against Mahadev himself,” he declared. “His recent decisions have caused unnecessary pain and suffering to innocent beings.”
Meanwhile, in Lanka, Raavan was performing his daily puja to the Shivling with complete devotion and reverence. Diti watched him and became concerned about his continued worship of someone she considered an enemy. She approached Nanashri Sumali with a plan. “You need to stop Raavan from this worship,” she urged him. “He is being deceived by Mahadev’s apparent kindness, and I have a plan that could help us defeat Mahadev once and for all.” When Raavan completed his prayers and noticed Diti’s presence, he immediately became defensive about his devotion. “I will not listen to a single word spoken against Mahadev,” he warned his grandmother sternly. “My devotion to him is absolute and unshakeable.”
He then made a serious threat about the consequences of disrespecting his chosen deity. “If you say anything against Mahadev, I will completely forget our family relationship,” he declared. “My loyalty to him comes before everything else, including family bonds.” Sumali tried to mediate the situation and encourage dialogue. “Please just listen once to what Diti wants to tell you,” he requested. “She might have valuable insights that could help you achieve your goals.” But Raavan refused to consider any criticism of his beloved deity. “There is no need for me to hear anything against Mahadev,” he said firmly before leaving the area.
Scene 3: Household Decisions and Divine Plans
Back in Kailash, Devi Parvati was crying as she remembered how Kartikeya and Devsena had left their home in anger and disappointment. Mahadev approached his grieving wife to understand her feelings about his recent decisions. “Do you also have doubts about the choices I made regarding our son?” he asked gently. “Are you questioning whether I handled the situation correctly?” Devi Parvati considered his question carefully before responding with wisdom about their different roles. “You did what was right to do as Mahadev, the supreme deity responsible for cosmic balance,” she replied. “And now I will do what is right to do as a housewife and mother concerned about her family’s happiness.”
She then explained her understanding of what had gone wrong in their household. “Devsena felt that her grahpravesh ceremony was not performed properly when she entered our family,” she said. “That failure was our fault, and it has caused lasting damage to her sense of belonging here.” Mahadev offered his perspective on the nature of home and family relationships. “Family members are the ones who build a true home,” he observed. “A physical structure alone cannot make anyone feel like family.” Devi Parvati disagreed with this philosophy and expressed her belief that environment matters. “If Kartikeya and Devsena had felt they had a proper home here, they would not have left us,” she said sadly. “Sometimes people need tangible symbols of belonging to feel secure in their relationships.”
Meanwhile, Indradev was explaining his case against Mahadev to Shanidev with specific examples of the suffering caused. “Devsena is not happy even after becoming part of the Shiv family,” he pointed out. “Her unhappiness is directly related to how she has been treated since joining this household.” He recalled how Devsena had confided in him about her problems. “She told me everything about her struggles and disappointments,” he revealed. “The way she has been ignored and marginalized is unacceptable.” Indradev then made his formal request for divine intervention. “You should see what Mahadev has done to his own family and then make your decision about appropriate consequences,” he urged.
“Justice must be served regardless of who the offender is.” Shanidev decided to investigate the situation thoroughly before making any judgment. He closed his eyes and used his divine powers to see all the recent incidents involving Raavan and Shiv’s family. After witnessing everything that had transpired, he made his decision. “Mahadev will face consequences for his actions,” he announced. “The cosmic law of justice applies to everyone, including supreme deities.” With that declaration, Shanidev departed to begin implementing the consequences.
Scene 4: New Construction and Opportunity Recognition
Determined to create a proper home for her family, Devi Parvati summoned Vishwakarma, the divine architect. “I want you to build a beautiful bhavan for our family,” she ordered him. “It should be a place where everyone feels welcome and cherished.” Vishwakarma accepted the commission with respect. “I will build the most magnificent dwelling according to your specifications,” he promised before leaving to begin the construction project. Mahadev observed his wife’s decision to build a new home and shared his thoughts about her plan. “I respect your decision to take this action,” he told her diplomatically.
“However, I don’t believe you will achieve the results that you expect from this construction project.” He believed that the problems in their family were not related to their physical living space but to deeper issues of respect and communication. In Lanka, Raavan learned about Devi Parvati’s order to Vishwakarma through his network of informants. “This is perfect timing,” he thought to himself with excitement. “Devi Parvati wants to build a new home, and this gives me the ideal opportunity to bring Mahadev to Lanka.” He began formulating a plan that would allow him to offer his services as a builder and architect. “If I can convince her to let me build their home, I will have Mahadev exactly where I want him,” he realized. “This could be the chance I’ve been waiting for to finally achieve my goal of having the supreme deity in my kingdom.” Raavan began preparing his proposal, knowing that this unexpected opportunity might be his best chance to fulfill his long-standing desire to bring Mahadev to Lanka permanently.
