Sewa Parv 2025: Celebrating Developed India Through Art
The Ministry of Culture in India recently marked the Sewa Parv 2025, a nationwide celebration of service, creativity, and cultural pride, from September 17 to October 2, 2025. This festival culminated on Gandhi Jayanti, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s vision for a developed India by 2047. The event brought together students, artists, and communities through various activities that emphasized the themes of service and art.
Art Workshops in Srinagar
On October 2, 2025, a significant art workshop took place at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. Organized by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), the event attracted over a thousand participants, including students and artists. Esteemed guests such as Shri Brij Mohan Sharma, Principal Secretary of Culture for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, and Padma Shri Farooq Ahmad Mir, a renowned craftsperson, attended the workshop. They encouraged attendees to embrace the region’s rich artistic heritage while also envisioning a modern and developed India. The workshop served as a platform for participants to express their creativity and engage with the cultural narratives of Jammu & Kashmir.
Creative Engagement in Diu
Simultaneously, Diu hosted a series of art workshops at the INS Khukri Memorial and various schools, including the Government High School for Girls and Galaxy English Medium School. Organized by the Western Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) from Udaipur, the workshops saw the active participation of over 500 students. Local dignitaries, including Shri Shivam Mishra, Deputy Collector of Diu, and Shri Hares Kapadia, President of Diu Nagarpalika, were present to inspire the young participants. They emphasized the importance of contributing to the vision of a developed India, encouraging students to harness their creativity for nation-building.
Celebrating Cultural Pride
The culmination of Sewa Parv 2025 on October 2 highlighted the spirit of service and creativity through the art workshops in both Srinagar and Diu. While the event in Srinagar showcased the cultural pride and craftsmanship of Jammu & Kashmir, Diu’s workshops reflected the active involvement of local schools and institutions in fostering creativity.
