The Directorate General for Resettlement (DGR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IBM to engage ex-military personnel with the aim of providing them with a second career and facilitating their seamless integration into the civilian workforce. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the 27thth June 2023. The details of the MoU are as follows:
- This is a non-binding MoU in which IBM wishes to engage with former military personnel with the intent to hire such individuals, if deemed suitable, for multiple opportunities that have arisen and may continue to arise at IBM and/or its affiliates. DGR and IBM plan to collaborate towards the common goal of helping ex-servicemen with a military background pursue their corporate careers.
- The MoU is valid from the date of signature of the MoU, however, the same can be terminated by either of the Parties with written notice to that effect of not less than 30 (thirty) days.
The modalities will be elaborated jointly between DGR and IBM. DGR connects with companies and industry bodies to search for ex-military jobs based on their skills.
