He reviewed the construction status with officials from the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and discussed the project’s significance with heads of various media offices, including Akashvani and Doordarshan. Jaju emphasized the need to expedite the tendering process, which is crucial for the timely completion of the campus.

The tenders are currently available on the CPWD website, with a submission deadline set for December 27, 2024. Jaju expressed optimism that some educational facilities would be ready by the academic year 2026-27. Established in 2012, IIMC Amravati is a premier institution dedicated to media and communication studies. It operates as a deemed university under the Ministry of Education and is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The new campus will be constructed in Badnera town, covering approximately 15 acres, with a budget of 90 crore rupees allocated for its development.

The campus will feature various facilities, including administrative and academic buildings, student hostels, staff quarters, and a 200-seat auditorium.
