RRM visits Station Canteen and ECHS Polyclinic Dehradun

Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt visited the station canteen and ECHS polyclinic in Dehradun on 23 July 2023. He interacted with the beneficiaries and took stock of the canteen facilities. Appreciating management’s efforts in leveraging technology to improve customer satisfaction and ensure honesty, Shri Bhatt said that all cafeterias must take similar steps in installing customer satisfaction kiosks and access control software. He praised the efforts made for better inventory management and display of consumer goods.

Shri Bhatt also visited the ECHS General Hospital and was impressed with the bath complex built for the veterans. The complex follows green building standards in the use of natural lighting and ventilation. Designed for particularly able-bodied people, it facilitates the use of modern tools for cleaning toilets and conserving water.

Appreciating the increase of registration counters from two to six and separate counters to cater for senior citizens and seamless online registration and referrals, RRM said such efforts to improve patient care go a long way towards boosting the morale of those who gave their best years to the. The RRM appreciated the feedback kiosk which logs all patient care metrics and provides input to decision makers to improve procedures and systems. The RRM said that these initiatives and the project to create a LAN with the MS to overcome the need for the elderly to travel back and forth from the MS to the General Hospital, should also be replicated in other stations.
