Revenue saved through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) subsidy schemes

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and other governance reforms have resulted in the removal of duplicate/false beneficiaries and closure of leaks etc, as a result of which the government is able to target genuine and deserving beneficiaries. Union Finance Minister Shri Pankaj Chaudhary said today in a written response to a question to the Lok Sabha.

Estimated savings from DBT and other governance reforms reported by various ministries/departments in relation to key central sector/centrally sponsored programs are as follows:
