Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh honored the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Mountaineering Expedition Team on June 12, 2025, celebrating their remarkable achievement of scaling Mount Everest on May 18, 2025. The team, consisting of five girls and five boys with an average age of 19, was recognized for their bravery and determination in conquering the world’s highest peak under challenging conditions. During the ceremony in New Delhi, Singh presented the team with a cheque of Rs 10 lakh, acknowledging their exceptional performance without any injuries.
