PM Modi’s Initiatives in Madhya Pradesh
On February 23, Prime Minister Modi will visit Chhatarpur District in Madhya Pradesh. At around 2 PM, he will lay the foundation stone for the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Garha village. This facility, valued at over Rs 200 crore, aims to provide advanced healthcare services, particularly for cancer patients. It will offer free treatment to underprivileged individuals and will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and specialists.
The following day, February 24, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal at 10 AM. This summit is crucial for positioning Madhya Pradesh as a global investment hub. It will feature various departmental summits and specialized sessions focusing on sectors such as Pharma, Medical Devices, Transport, and Tourism. Notably, international sessions will include discussions with representatives from Global South countries and Latin America.
During the summit, three major industrial exhibitions will take place. The Auto Show will showcase Madhya Pradesh’s automotive capabilities, while the Textile and Fashion Expo will highlight the state’s expertise in textile manufacturing. Additionally, the “One District-One Product” (ODOP) Village will display the unique craftsmanship and cultural heritage of the region. With participation from over 60 countries and 300 industry leaders, the GIS aims to foster economic collaboration and investment opportunities.
Focus on Farmer Welfare in Bihar
On February 24, after his engagements in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Bhagalpur, Bihar. At approximately 2:15 PM, he will release the 19th installment of the PM KISAN scheme. This initiative provides direct financial assistance to farmers, benefiting over 9.7 crore farmers across India with a total of more than Rs 21,500 crore. This financial support is crucial for enhancing the livelihoods of farmers and ensuring their welfare.
The Prime Minister has consistently emphasized the importance of better remuneration for farmers. In line with this commitment, he launched the Central Sector Scheme for the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in 2020. These organizations help farmers collectively market their products, thereby increasing their income. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Breeds in Motihari, which aims to introduce advanced reproductive technologies and support farmers in improving livestock quality.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will dedicate significant infrastructure projects, including the doubling of the WarisaliganjโNawadaโTilaiya rail section, valued at over Rs 526 crore. This project aims to enhance connectivity and facilitate better transportation for agricultural products, further supporting the farming community in Bihar.
Celebrating Culture and Investment in Assam
On February 25, Prime Minister Modi will head to Guwahati, Assam, to participate in the Jhumoir Binandini (Mega Jhumoir) 2025 event. This cultural extravaganza will feature around 8,000 performers showcasing the Jhumoir dance, a traditional folk dance of the Assam Tea Tribe and Adivasi communities. The event celebrates 200 years of the tea industry and industrialization in Assam, highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage and unity.
Later that day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 in Guwahati. This summit, scheduled for February 25-26, will include various sessions focusing on investment opportunities and infrastructure development in the state. It will feature an exhibition that illustrates Assam’s economic landscape, showcasing its industrial evolution and vibrant MSME sector. The summit aims to attract global leaders, investors, and industry experts, fostering collaboration and growth in Assam.
Through these initiatives, Prime Minister Modi’s visit aims to strengthen the economic framework of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam, while also celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the region.
