President Droupadi Murmu Inaugurates Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition 2024; Public Access from August 16 to September 15
The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition 2024 on August 14, 2024. The event marks the commencement of a month-long opportunity for the public to experience the beauty of one of India’s most iconic gardens, located within the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises.
Amrit Udyan will be open to visitors from August 16 to September 15, 2024. The garden will welcome guests daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last entry allowed at 5:15 PM. Mondays will be reserved for garden maintenance, and no public entry will be allowed on these days.
In a special initiative, August 29 has been designated exclusively for sportspersons in honor of National Sports Day, while September 5 will be reserved for teachers, coinciding with the celebration of Teachersโ Day.
To visit Amrit Udyan, prior registration is mandatory. The registration process is free of charge and can be completed online via the Rashtrapati Bhavan website. Alternatively, walk-in visitors can register on-site using the Self Service Kiosks positioned outside Gate No. 35.
The entry for all visitors will be through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan, conveniently located near North Avenue Road. For ease of access, a complimentary shuttle bus service will operate between the Central Secretariat Metro Station and Gate No. 35.
This annual event not only celebrates the stunning horticultural displays of the Amrit Udyan but also reflects the rich cultural and social heritage of India.
