PM to address the 17th Indian Cooperative Congress on 1st July

On International Cooperative Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will speak at the 17th Indian Cooperative Congress at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on July 1 at 11am.

Spurred on by the Prime Minister’s firm belief in the vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi”, the government has continuously taken steps to boost the co-operative movement in the country. The government has created a separate ministry of cooperation to give strength to this effort. The Prime Minister’s participation in the program is another step in this direction.

The 17th Indian Co-operative Congress will be organized on 1-2 July 2023. Its aim is to discuss the various trends in the co-operative movement, showcase the best practices adopted, the deliberate challenges faced and outline the future policy direction for the growth of the co-operative movement Indian. There will be seven technical sessions on the main theme of “Amrit Kaal: Prosperity through Cooperation for a Vibrant India”. It will be attended by more than 3600 stakeholders including cooperatives from primary level to national level, delegates of international cooperative organizations, representatives of the International Cooperative Alliance, representatives of ministries, universities, eminent institutions, among others.
