PM anguished by the mishap during the Ulta Rath Yatra at Kumarghat

Chief Minister, Shri Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life in the incident during the Ulta Rath Yatra in Kumarghat, Odisha. Shri Modi announced an ex-gratia from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the victims.

In a PMO tweet thread, the PM said;

โ€œThe incident during the Ulta Rath Yatra in Kumarghat is sad. Condolences to those who lost loved ones in this ordeal. May the wounded recover soon. The local administration is providing all possible assistance to those affected: PM @narendramodiโ€

โ€œRs. 2 lakh ex-gratia from the PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs. 50,000 reportedly given to injured in Tripura incident :PM @narendramodiโ€
