On the eve of 77th Independence Day, Indian Railways joined the celebrations of 77th Independence Day with fervor and cheer. All major railway stations, railway offices, buildings and colonies are decorated with the national flag and illuminated with tricolor lighting. The buildings of the railway stations are finely decorated with tricolor lights. The iconic railway bridges are decorated with the national flag.

Today, various programs like Tiranga Yatra, exhibitions on โ€œHorrors of Partition Remembrance Dayโ€ were organized in railway stations, Nukkad Nataks.

The national flag was distributed among railway staff members. Mass participation has been observed by railway employees in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme. Railway employees uploaded their selfies or pinned location to www.harghartiranga.com
