National Minerals Development Corporation (NMDC)a Navratna miner under the Ministry of Steel, had record production for the period up to July 2023. The National Miner delivered record performances in the AF24 so far and is paving the way to become a 100 MT (million tons) mining company. NMDC is also gearing up to surpass its historic output of 40 meters for two budgets in a row.
The company produced 13.15 million tons and sold 14.18 million tons of iron ore through July 2023, showing year-over-year growth by 20% and 33.5% in production and sales respectively. In July alone, the mining major produced 2.44 million tons and sold 3.03 million tons of iron oreshowing growth on a monthly basis by 19% and 2.7% in production and sales respectively.
