NewJeans Halts Activities Amid Legal Battle

South Korean K-pop sensation NewJeans has announced a temporary hiatus from all activities following a court ruling against them in their ongoing dispute with their record label, Ador. The five-member group, which recently attempted to rebrand as NJZ, made the announcement during a performance at ComplexCon Hong Kong, stating that this would be their last show for the foreseeable future. Concert Announcement and Emotional Farewell

During their recent concert in Hong Kong, NewJeans debuted their new song “Pit Stop” before addressing their fans with a heartfelt message. Members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Heyin took turns reading a letter in both English and Korean. They expressed their gratitude to the audience, stating, “This stage means so much to us and every single one of you who gives us strength just by being here.” The group conveyed their sorrow in announcing the hiatus, emphasizing that it was a difficult decision made out of respect for the court’s ruling. They reassured fans that this pause is essential for their well-being and future comeback, stating, “We had to speak up to protect the values that we believe in.”
