New PM Vishwakarma Stall Opens at Chandigarh Airport
In a notable initiative aimed at enhancing market access for traditional artisans, the Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh proudly unveiled its second PM Vishwakarma (PMV) stall on July 14, 2026. Supported by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and a dedicated Self-Help Group (SHG), this stall serves as a platform for three artisans from Chandigarh to display and sell their unique handcrafted products, reflecting India’s vibrant traditional crafts.
The inauguration follows the successful launch of the first PMV stall at Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal, emphasizing the government’s commitment to empowering local artisans and promoting their craft.
This new stall features the work of Shri Beju Tulsidas, a talented basket maker; Kumari Shaista Rani, an innovative doll and toy creator; and Shri Rahul Kumar, a skilled potter. Each artisan has a chance to reach out to a broader audience, showcasing the rich cultural heritage that their crafts represent.

Positioned in a high-traffic location like Chandigarh’s airport, the PMV stall provides artisans with greater visibility and a unique opportunity to connect with both domestic and international travelers.
