National Awards for e-Governance 2025 Announced

Nominations for the awards will open on January 1, 2025, and will be accepted until February 15, 2025. Nomination Process and Key Dates
The nomination process for the NAeG 2025 is set to begin on January 1, 2025. Interested parties can submit their nominations through the official web portal at nceg.gov.in. The deadline for submissions is 5 PM on February 15, 2025. This timeline allows ample opportunity for organizations to prepare and submit their entries.
The launch of the web portal was marked by an event attended by key officials, including Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary of DARPG, and Shri Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. During the event, senior officials from various Central Ministries, Departments, and State/UT administrations were briefed on the guidelines for nominations. Additionally, three Gold Awardees from the NAeG 2024 shared their experiences, providing insights into the benefits of participating in this competitive awards scheme.

- Best Practices in Cyber Security: This award honors innovative practices in cyber security that protect digital governance initiatives.
- Grassroot Level Initiatives: This category highlights efforts by Districts, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and Gram Panchayats to improve service delivery at the grassroots level.
- Replication and Scaling of Successful Projects: This award encourages the replication of successful projects recognized in previous awards, such as the NAeG and Prime Minister Awards in Excellence.
- Digital Transformation through Data Analytics: This category focuses on the use of data analytics in digital platforms by Central Ministries, States, and Union Territories.These categories aim to foster a culture of innovation and excellence in e-governance, encouraging organizations to adopt best practices and share their successes.
Awards and Incentives
The NAeG 2025 will feature a total of 16 awards, including 10 Gold Awards and 6 Silver Awards. Each award will come with a trophy, a certificate, and a monetary incentive. Gold Awardees will receive an incentive of ₹10 lakh, while Silver Awardees will be awarded ₹5 lakh. These funds are intended to support the implementation of projects or programs that bridge resource gaps in public welfare.
