Nasuni Enhances Research and Development Capabilities in Hyderabad’s GCC

US-based infrastructure software provider Nasuni has announced the expansion of its research and development global capability center (GCC) in Hyderabad. This move aims to enhance innovation in its enterprise file data platform, focusing on modernizing file infrastructure to support teams and AI-driven workflows. The Hyderabad facility will collaborate closely with teams in the United States and Ireland, contributing to advancements in platform evolution, AI integration, and resilient infrastructure design.

Expansion Plans and Workforce Growth

Nasuni’s Hyderabad center, which began with just two employees in August 2025, is set to grow significantly. The company plans to increase its workforce to approximately 125 by the end of this year. Currently, Nasuni employs around 600 people globally, with about 40 based in Hyderabad and another 30 in Ireland, where the company has its other GCC. This expansion reflects Nasuni’s commitment to tapping into the rich technology talent pool in Hyderabad, which is recognized as one of the strongest ecosystems for tech professionals worldwide.

Focus Areas for Innovation

The Hyderabad teams will concentrate on several key areas, including semantic indexing, contextual modeling, version lineage, and metadata intelligence. They will also work on predictive analytics and AI-driven operations, ensuring that the company’s offerings align with zero trust security principles. Additionally, the center will enhance cyber resilience, focusing on advanced ransomware detection capabilities. These initiatives are designed to bolster the overall functionality and security of Nasuni’s enterprise file data platform.

Collaboration Across Global Teams

According to Peddareddappa G, Senior Director and India Site Leader at Nasuni, the integration of teams across the US, Ireland, and India is crucial for continuous innovation. This collaborative approach allows Nasuni to respond swiftly to the evolving needs of enterprises. The company’s platform uniquely combines cloud object storage with enterprise file services, providing immutable file system versions that facilitate rapid recovery and maintain historical context. This capability is essential for organizations managing vast amounts of data across multiple locations.

Global Reach and Client Base

Nasuni currently supports over 800 enterprise customers in more than 70 countries, managing billions of files across thousands of locations. The company’s commitment to innovation and expansion in Hyderabad is expected to enhance its service offerings and strengthen its position in the global market. As organizations increasingly seek to modernize their file infrastructure, Nasuni’s advancements in AI integration and cyber resilience will play a pivotal role in meeting these demands.
