Moto G86 5G is set to make its debut in select global markets soon, although the company has yet to officially announce the launch. Leaks and reports have surfaced, revealing potential specifications, pricing, and color options for the upcoming smartphone. The Moto G86 5G is expected to feature two battery size variants and aims to succeed the Moto G85 5G, which was introduced in India in July 2024.

Moto G86 5G Key Features

The Moto G86 5G is rumored to boast a 6.67-inch 1.5K curved pOLED display, offering a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. According to tipster Evan Blass, the display is expected to achieve a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. This high-quality display is designed to enhance user experience, making it suitable for various multimedia applications.

Under the hood, the Moto G86 5G is anticipated to be powered by a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The device may come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, running on Android 15 with Hello UI on top. Users can expect two years of major OS updates, while those in the EMEA region may receive four years of bi-monthly security updates, ensuring the device remains secure and up-to-date.

In terms of photography, the Moto G86 5G is likely to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The front-facing camera is expected to be a 32-megapixel sensor, catering to selfie enthusiasts. Additionally, the device may include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, dual microphones, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Battery and Connectivity Options

The Moto G86 5G is rumored to offer two battery options: a 5,200mAh variant and a larger 6,720mAh version. The availability of these battery sizes may differ by region. Both options are expected to support 33W wired TurboCharging, allowing for quick recharging. The dimensions for the smaller battery variant are said to be 161.21 x 74.74 x 7.87mm, weighing 185g, while the larger model may have an 8.65mm profile and weigh 198g.

Connectivity features for the Moto G86 5G are likely to include support for 5G and 4G VoLTE networks, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. For added security, the device is expected to incorporate an in-display fingerprint sensor, enhancing user convenience while ensuring data protection.

Pricing and Color Options

An earlier leak suggested that the Moto G86 5G could be priced at approximately EUR 330, which translates to around Rs. 31,200 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The smartphone is anticipated to be available in several attractive color options, including Golden, Cosmic (Light Purple), Red, and Spellbound (Blue). These choices are likely to appeal to a wide range of consumers, adding to the device’s overall appeal in the competitive smartphone market.
