Moto G56 5G Specifications Revealed Online; Expected Features

Motorola is preparing to launch its latest smartphone, the Moto G56 5G, as indicated by a recent leak revealing its specifications and design. Although the company has yet to make an official announcement, the details suggest that this new model will serve as a successor to last year’s Moto G55. The Moto G56 5G is expected to feature a large display, a powerful chipset, and a robust battery, making it a noteworthy addition to Motorola’s G series lineup.

Design and Display Features

The Moto G56 5G is rumored to sport a 6.72-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1,080×2,400 pixels. This screen is expected to offer a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals for users. Additionally, the display is said to reach a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, making it suitable for use in various lighting conditions. The phone will also feature Gorilla Glass 7i for added durability. The design includes a hole-punch display, which houses the front camera, and a dual-camera setup on the back, enhancing its modern aesthetic. Color options for the device are anticipated to include Pantone Black Oyster, Pantone Gray Mist, Pantone Dazzling Blue, and Pantone Dill.

Performance and Storage Capabilities

Under the hood, the Moto G56 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC, marking an upgrade from the Dimensity 7025 found in its predecessor. The device will reportedly run on Android 15, providing users with the latest software experience. In terms of memory, the Moto G56 5G is likely to offer configurations of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with the option to expand storage further via a microSD card up to 2TB. The 4GB RAM variant is expected to receive one major Android update and three years of security updates, while the 8GB variant may receive two major updates and four years of security support.

Camera and Connectivity Features

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual rear camera setup on the Moto G56 5G, which is expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with Sony’s Lytia LYT-600 sensor, alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, a 32-megapixel front camera is anticipated. Connectivity options are set to include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The device will also feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, dual microphones, and will be rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability in various environments.

Battery Life and Pricing

The Moto G56 5G is rumored to come with a substantial 5,200mAh battery, supporting 33W wired charging. This is an improvement over the Moto G55, which had a 5,000mAh battery with the same charging capabilities. The dimensions of the upcoming smartphone are expected to be 165.75×76.26×8.35mm, with a weight of around 200 grams. Pricing details leaked earlier suggest that the Moto G56 5G will be available for approximately EUR 250, which is roughly equivalent to Rs. 23,700 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. As the official launch date approaches, more details are likely to emerge, further exciting fans of the Motorola brand.
