Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Signs MoU with Digital India Corporation

In a significant move to enhance digital engagement among India’s youth, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital India Corporation (DIC) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. This agreement, signed in New Delhi, aims to develop the MY Bharat 2.0 platform, which will utilize technology to empower and connect young people across the nation. The signing ceremony was attended by key government officials, including Union Ministers Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Launch of MY Bharat 2.0
The MY Bharat platform is set to undergo a comprehensive upgrade, evolving into MY Bharat 2.0. This enhanced version will introduce a range of new features designed to improve user experience, accessibility, and overall functionality. The platform will be rebuilt using a modular architecture, ensuring both scalability and flexibility. A fully functional mobile application will also be developed for Android and iOS users, making the platform more accessible to a wider audience.
In addition to the mobile app, the upgraded platform will include support functions such as a dedicated call center, training modules, and cloud services. These enhancements aim to strengthen the backend infrastructure, ensuring that users have a seamless experience when engaging with the platform.
Innovative Features and User Engagement
MY Bharat 2.0 will incorporate several AI-driven features to enhance user engagement. Among these are a Smart CV Builder, personalized digital profiles, and AI-powered chatbots. The platform will also feature speech-to-text capabilities, WhatsApp integration, and voice-assisted navigation to improve usability for all users.
Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs, emphasized the importance of focusing on value, aspiration, opportunity, learning, and community connection. The platform will also include integrated dashboards for educational institutions and event-organizing bodies to analyze and monitor outcomes effectively. Location intelligence and geo-tagging tools will help users discover opportunities based on their geography or interests, while interactive learning modules and quizzes will promote continuous learning.
Commitment to Security and Integration
The upgraded MY Bharat platform will ensure compliance with the latest data protection and privacy norms, creating a secure digital environment for all users. It will also offer seamless integration with national digital platforms such as Aadhaar, DigiLocker, Bhashini, and MyGov, providing a unified user experience.

The platform will also feature dedicated sections for National Career Services, a Mentorship Hub, and a Fit India section, all aimed at promoting career growth, personal development, and health among youth.
The strategic upgrade of MY Bharat 2.0 represents a fusion of technology and governance, aiming to transform India’s demographic dividend into a developmental asset. This initiative is poised to play a crucial role in harnessing the potential of the youth and advancing the vision of a developed India by 2047.
MY Bharat, launched by the Prime Minister on October 31, 2023, has already registered over 1.76 crore youth and more than 1.19 lakh organizations, establishing itself as a vital platform for youth engagement and empowerment in India.
