Ministry of Culture to celebrate the International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2023

On the 21st, the Ministry of Culture will celebrate International Yoga Dayst June 2023. All organizations – branch offices, subordinate offices and autonomous entities – under the ministry have been directed to observe IDY with full participation following the approved Common Yoga Protocol. It has also been proposed to observe IDY 2023 at iconic sites with the help of the ASI club offices which would allow for a wider reach and participation. At Purana Qila, New Delhi โ€“ Minister of State for Culture Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi will beautify the occasion. Staff and officials of the Ministry of Culture and other organizations of the Ministry of Culture in Delhi will take part in the IDY celebrations.

In Nurmahal Sarai, Jalandhar, Punjab, Minister of State for Culture Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal will be the chief guest and lead the IDY celebrations. All Ministry of Culture organizations will also conduct many cultural events and programs at their respective locations. Ministry of Culture pledges to make International Yoga Day a great success and to showcase India’s unity globally for the cause of ‘public health’ and our commitment to universal health coverage and development goal sustainable good health and well-being.
