Launch of SAKSHAM-3000
The SAKSHAM-3000 is a cutting-edge data center switch cum router developed by the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT). With its impressive capacity, the SAKSHAM-3000 is tailored for modern data centers, facilitating large-scale computing, cloud infrastructure, and advanced networking needs. The device supports up to 32 ports of 400G and offers a flexible range of Ethernet speeds from 1G to 400G. Its design is aimed at meeting the demands of 5G and 6G networks, as well as artificial intelligence workloads, making it a versatile solution for various applications in telecommunications and data management.
Dr. Sekhar’s visit included a tour of C-DOT’s labs, where he interacted with engineers and scientists working on various advanced technologies. He highlighted the significance of the SAKSHAM-3000 in India’s journey towards self-reliance and global competitiveness. The Minister’s remarks underscored the importance of innovation and the need for Indian technology to not only meet domestic demands but also compete on the international stage.

The Minister urged engineers to think beyond immediate project deadlines and to envision the technological needs of the country in the coming years. He called for a shift from merely achieving success to making a significant impact on the global technology landscape. Dr. Sekhar’s vision for C-DOT includes positioning it alongside global leaders such as Nokia, Ericsson, and Huawei by the year 2047.

Dr. Sekhar emphasized the importance of India not just producing technology but also leading in global standards. He called for increased participation in international standards organizations like 3GPP, ITU, and ETSI. The Minister assured that the government would provide the necessary support, including autonomy, funding, and partnerships, to help C-DOT achieve its ambitious goals.
In response to the Minister’s visit, Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO of C-DOT, expressed gratitude for the Minister’s guidance and motivation.
